The most important publication from a legal perspective is the published reversal at the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, which is found at 217 F.3rd 646. It was an important decision in immigration, related to political asylum. I don't do immigration law anymore.
I am occasionally interviewed by Spanish-language television stations for a legal slant. A soundbite for Noticias MundoFox for a piece about the tool who recorded the victims of a car crash as they died, instead of rendering help, can be seen by clicking here. (You might recognize the reporter, Anabel Muñoz. Shortly after this piece aired, MundoFox disbanded its news department, and Anabel is now with ABC 7. If you run into Anabel, please remind her that I also speak English.) I was interviewed on Noticias 62 about the plan to save homes from foreclosure in 2010, and I stated that the program was useless in California because the significant reduction in values here meant nobody would qualify for the plan. Two days later, an article on the front page of the Los Angeles Times came to the same conclusion.
I was quoted in the Los Angeles Times article on the opening of the FastTrak lanes on the 110 Freeway, November 10, 2013. I opined that being able to pay to use the carpool lanes was undemocratic, an opinion I still hold.
Jovanny Rivera Huerta of Noticias 62 also used a number of soundbites from an interview with me for a piece on the closure of LAUSD schools in response to a threat in December 2015. That used to be viewable by clicking here. I was interviewed by José Luis Muñoz from the same station for a story about a brother trying to get guardianship of his younger sister; before you could see it by clicking here. A compelling piece about "Sextortion" with Hilda Gutiérrez in June of 2017 can still be seen by clicking here. Up-and-comer Wendy Castillo used a soundbite in April of 2019 for a piece on the citizenship question on the census, click here.
The national news program Noticiero Estrella TV has interviewed me a couple of times. Dayanis López' piece on the President's nearly lily-white judicial nominees can be seen by clicking here. Rosa María Orbach used some of my soundbites for a piece on the Administration's decision to create a database specific to immigrants: click here.
