"Attorney Walker went above and beyond to obtain the best result possible." -IG
L. Walker Van Antwerp III
First and foremost, I am just like you: a small business owner, with all the same concerns about making payroll, paying the rent, paying the taxes. I know your problems, and I take them seriously.
I have reasonable qualifications. I graduated from the University of Utah in three years with two degrees, in psychology and political science. I went to the University of Southern California for law school, graduated in 1983, and passed the bar examination the first time. I worked briefly for other firms, but quickly went out on my own. My practice has been very broad, basically a general practice for several years, and then more of a small business/real estate practice since then. I've done over 25 jury trials. I have become the accidental appellate lawyer, and I have reversals at the Superior Court Appellate Department, the Second District Court of Appeals, the Fourth District Court of Appeals, and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Rather than going on and on (and if you've seen any other attorney websites, a lawyer's favorite subject is himself), what I want to convey on this website is that YOU come first. I am pleased when my client gets a good result, and I am chagrined with anything less. Getting a good result frequently requires the exercise of more art than science. Getting a good result frequently means managing legal expenses, because frequently a bad result is defined by excessive legal fees. Getting a good result frequently means settling early, and not dragging out the litigation. Getting a good result frequently means ignoring a case, because sometimes they go away.
